Repairing Mobile Phone (Software Defects):

The following are some of the few symptoms that appear when the software area of the pone becomes out of order fully or partially.

1. Display shows "CONTACT SERVICE" OR "CONTACT RETAILER"
2. Phone Hangs - Very Often
3. Phone restarts (will switch off and on) automatically
4. Phone keys response will become slow
5. Phone becomes Dead
6. Graphics of the phone will be ok - but no texts/numeric will appears - voice functions ok.
7. Text/Numeric Ok-but no graphics-voice functions Ok
8. Only Background lights when switched on - No other function - or Voice functions Ok.
9. Phone starts normally, but no functions
10. Phone resets when any selection is done
11. Phone shows error when any setting is stored
12. Phone shows error when tried to store photos

For all the above problems the defective software should be erased from the EEMPROM and fresh software should be loaded on to it. This process makes the phone work properly. This method of erasing and reloading the software is termed as "FLASHING".
